The National Service Scheme (NSS) has officially released postings for the 2024/2025 service year, assigning 106,223 personnel to various institutions and organizations across the country.
According to the NSS, this year's postings cover a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture, and governance. The personnel, comprising graduates from accredited tertiary institutions, are expected to begin their 12-month national service on October 1, 2024.
Distribution of Personnel:
- Education Sector: 34,550
- Healthcare Sector: 23,110
- Agriculture Sector: 17,350
- Governance Sector: 15,200
- Other Sectors: 16,013
NSS Executive Director's Message:
"The NSS is committed to deploying personnel to areas where their skills and expertise are needed most. We urge all posted personnel to accept their placements and contribute their quota to national development," said the Executive Director.
Personnel are expected to print their appointment letters and endorsement forms from the NSS website. They will also undergo orientation and validation processes before commencing their service.
