Justice sought for 16 year Old Rape Victim at Mpraeso Senior High School

A disturbing incident has unfolded at Mpraeso Senior High School in Ghana's Eastern region, where a 16-year-old female student was allegedly raped by eight male students. Five of the perpetrators are currently in custody at Nkwatia Divisional Police Command, while the remaining three remain at large.

According to the school's headmaster, James Affadu, the incident occurred on October 6, but due to his absence, the school delayed reporting the case to the authorities. The school has taken disciplinary action, dismissing the eight male students involved and reporting the incident to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for further investigation.

The victim's mother, Madam Owusua, shared her daughter's harrowing experience on Onua FM's Yensempa show. The daughter had called her, complaining of illness and requesting her immediate presence at the school. Upon arrival, the mother was met with the devastating news of her daughter's ordeal. She swiftly reported the incident to Mpraeso Police Station, leading to the arrest of five suspects.

The mother has expressed relief that her daughter is recovering well after hospital treatment but demands a thorough probe by GES to ensure justice is served.
