Exciting news for Ghanaian students and parents! The Ghana Education Service has just released the 2024/2025 academic calendar, outlining key dates for Basic and Senior High Schools nationwide.
First-year students in single-track and transitional schools, as well as continuing students, can look forward to reporting on October 30, 2024. This includes prospective students eagerly awaiting their Basic Education Certificate Examination results and Senior High School placement.
The Ghana Education Service made this adjustment to align the school calendar with a September start in 2024. This change ensures a smoother transition for students.
Current first-year students in transitional calendar schools will wrap up their 2023/2024 academic year on October 28, 2024, and seamlessly progress to Form Two.
The new calendar also allows final-year students to take the 2025/2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in May/June, setting them up for success.
With this revised schedule, students, parents and educators can plan ahead, ensuring another productive academic year.
